UKGI is proud to be a member of the Association of Professional Compliance Consultants (APCC). The FCA will often inform the APCC of news items as they are about to be published and will also engage with the APCC if there is a message that the FCA would want to convey to authorised firms.
In that regard we have been advised by the APCC that FCA has contacted them to inform them that a recent e-mail reporting to be from Pragati Samnotre, a senior Supervision Associate, and showing a RegData address is a scam e-mail.
The FCA has confirmed this was not sent by the FCA and it is a phishing attack. The FCA is urging firms not to click on any of the links or attachments.
