We have an experienced team of general insurance compliance experts across the UK who provide focused consultancy for our clients in their own offices.  This consultancy can take many forms and is lead purely by the client’s requirements.

Understanding how compliance should live and breathe for our client

Our consultant can spend a scheduled couple of days onsite throughout the course of a year to hold compliance clinics where various issues such as new regulations, processes, documentation and staffing can be openly discussed and resolved.  What also works well is where our consultant spends a concentrated period of days or even weeks onsite.  This can be focused on a specific topic, such as client money or the Senior Managers and Certification Regime, and include understanding how compliance should live and breathe for our client, developing the processes and documentation, and rolling out the solutions across the firm.

Onsite visits also allow for spontaneous interaction via ad hoc questions and discussions, perhaps away from the agreed topic, which we know many of our clients also value.

We can also act as locum compliance officers, should the in-house resource be unavailable, to ensure that essential ongoing compliance activities such as compliance reporting, file reviews and complaints handling continue to take place.

Because of the regional nature of our team we have built some very close working relationships with our clients over several years.  Through their expertise and continued high quality of service and communication, our consultants are often regarded as a crucial member of our clients’ compliance team. 

Finally, whilst onsite visits are a very successful way of helping our clients manage various aspects of their regulatory compliance, we are of course flexible and adaptable.  Throughout the Covid-19 lockdown in 2020 we continued to effectively deliver our expert consultancy remotely, through means such as telephone and video conferences.  This means we have robust capability to provide blended onsite and virtual consultancy for our clients, in line with their needs and preferences.
