An Impartial Source of Updates on Regulatory Changes
One of the most important questions in business is, so what?
The general insurance industry is highly regulated and there is a never-ending stream of changes to those regulations. You might pick up on those changes in the press or from the Regulators, but the question remains, what does this mean for your business?
Regular updates with practical advice and guidance
We provide regular bulletins to our clients, updating you on changes in regulation, clarifications received from the Regulators or new issues as they arise.
Having filtered the source communications, we include only the important information which are general insurance specific. We provide practical advice and guidance where applicable; saving firms the need to interpret the implications and potential actions for themselves.
Our bulletins are available alongside our market leading online Compliance Manual and we also flag the relevant areas on the site so firms can easily find the new information or updated guidance. In addition, we will email you notification of any bulletins as they are posted.
Our information updates take two forms:
- Weekly updates
These comprise a roundup of key regulatory issues and developments of relevance to brokers. We typically sift the Financial Conduct Authority, Financial Ombudsman Service, Information Commissioners Office and Financial Services Compensation Scheme, plus other relevant sources of information, and provide a brief summary with links to appropriate content. We issue this on Friday afternoons and it is a really good way of brokers being able to stay abreast of the latest regulatory developments. - Regulatory bulletins
These are issued as and when there is action which brokers need to take, or issues they need to plan for, and are largely Financial Conduct Authority driven. We only issue bulletins where there is something pertinent, so firms know when they get a bulletin there is likely to be something they need to do. Regulatory bulletins are much more in depth than the weekly roundups and provide commentary, advice and guidance for brokers. We provide our views and recommendations and give brokers practical steps to take.
