Workshops and Live Webinars

We are delighted to continue to run the first general insurance compliance workshops and live webinars in the UK that were accredited by our industry’s professional body, the Chartered Insurance Institute. The workshops and live webinars typically have three or four main sessions, led by an appropriate expert from the UKGI team, covering the latest regulatory hot topics.

Autumn 2024 'Compliance with Confidence' Seminars

Our popular CII-accredited seminars are back this autumn, and will this time be hosted in London and Coventry. These seminars are designed to provide delegates with a deeper understanding of the current regulatory impacts to your business, and explore how compliance can be leveraged as a business enabler.

London Seminar – Wednesday 23rd October 2024

Venue: Union Jack Club, Sandell Street, London SE1 8JJ

West Midlands Seminar – Wednesday 13th November 2024

Venue: The Heart of England, Meriden Road, Coventry, CV7 8DX

Join us as we look at:

  • Why a holistic approach to governance and compliance is essential and the importance of embedding and demonstrating this within your business; even when nobody is watching.
  • The impact a lack of awareness on the regulations surrounding introducers can have, and the subsequent consequences.
  • Why the tone cascading from the FCA product governance thematic review TR24/2, is so damning and why we think skilled persons reports (“s166s”) and attestations will likely fall off the back of this as the FCA holds SMFs to account.
  • Essential actions for you and your firms to take on:
    • Product governance in the distribution chain
    • Demonstrating fair value
    • Outcomes and good MI
