The FCA has updated its Perimeter Report, which continues to be published in the form of an updated web page. It is difficult, therefore, to assess which elements of the Report are new.
There is nothing of significance which is new, and no significant updates in relation to the GI sector, but it does contain some updated details in relation to progress in the last 12 months in some areas.
There is updated commentary in the Report about outsourcing and third-party service providers, overseas insurers and what amounts to carrying on insurance business in the UK, the use of Group policies by unauthorised entities, exemptions in the Financial Promotions Order (high net worth clients) and financial promotions on social media.
